I, accidentally, did this to remove the niggertown accent I grew up with, replacing all of that with the proudest (i.e. not fucking yankee) Whiteisms I could find. I by no means have a non-regional dialect. I had people down-the-road from my hometown asking me where I was from, meaning what part of the country. "About 5 miles from here."
I legit say "Howdy", not to be ironic. Because that's what my people say, and anyone not-my-people never says it.
