I think that #Mastodon is one of the few places where you'll see entire communities quake in fear over relatively moderate and slightly libertarian political policies.

If this #Wikipedia article is accurate, the #ÖrebroParty, Mullvad VPN (npub1xh7…v9hj) and #JanJonsson have nothing to apologize for.

People like #JörgSeidel crying wolf and manufacturing outrage over supposed extremism will be why, when extremism actually shows up, it will be met with malaise, if not embraced wholeheartedly. You can only cry wolf so many times before people will just shake the wolf's hand when he shows up.

That's absolutely sad to read. The CEO of Mullvad VPN (npub1xh7…v9hj) is not only financing the far-right Swedish Örebro party, but he even is their main financer. 70+% of their money is his donation. He is the reason why they go nationwide this year.

For obvious reasons i cease to trust this service. Also i do not finance parties that aim for forced deportations.
