Hyperliquid's new "AQAv2" mechanism will use USDC reserve yields to buy back and burn its native HYPE token. Launched Aug 26, the system, managed by Circle (technical issuer) and Coinbase (treasury manager), directs ~90% of USDC interest yield to the Protocol Assistance Fund after operational costs. This fund will automatically buy and burn HYPE. Yield accumulation started Aug 26, with the first buyback/burn expected Oct 3.
