To my knowledge the only things we have ever actually deleted (instead of just marking dead) is certain illegal content we got a DMCA for. I can count those instances on one hand. Nothing else is ever truly removed. Just flagged as dead. The feed references are still in there along with the titles and metadata. They just don't get aggregated or served in the API anymore.
