They knew exactly what I would do. They knew I would activate the Air Force there, wake up the entire IDF, and not allow anyone to approach the fences—we would kill them immediately.
The public doesn't know this, but there were many, many indicative signs that an attack was about to happen.
Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi knew this, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar knew this, and Haliva, who was the head of Military Intelligence, knew this.
