As New Year beckons we have a warning that AI is starting to show signs of 'self-preservation'; Yoshua Bengio says humans should be prepared to pull the plug if needs be.

I have in the past equated AI with Terminator's SkyNet, but with my tongue at least partly in my cheek (if not totally)... but now we have an actual waring that is starting to look a but too much like a Terminator scenario for my liking (sure the techies will tell me its nonsense, but...)
