There are no such thing as aliens. Following is a quick explanation of the back story and what these "sightings" are all about.

There are three "sentient" beings in our universe:

1. Angels
2. Jin (Demons)
3. Humans

Angels can think but can do no wrong. Jin and Humans can think and do what they want.

Jin inhabited the earth prior to humans and they destroyed everything and spilled lots of blood. Angels were ordered to clear the earth of them so they were banished to forest, deserts, and high seas.

Iblis was one of the most pious Jin, so he was brought into the heavens to pray to God with Angels. God created Adam and ordered everyone to prostrate to him. Iblis' ego prevented him from doing so.

Iblis gets promise from God to be given a grace period until a certain time, so he can have a chance to whisper evil to all Humans. God allows him as a test for Humans.

Humans were introduced to earth afterwards via our father Adam and our mother Eve, around 7,000 years ago in Eden (today Aden, Yemen), where they had everything.

Iblis follows Adam and Eve, then whispers to them to eat from the forbidden tree, which leads them to be banished, down from gardens of Eden to today's Mecca area.

Iblis is still around and has a lot of offspring over thousands of years. He goes by the name Satan, and so does his offspring.

A lot of Jin still worship God. Those who have encounters with Humans however, usually do not, as it is forbidden for Jin to do so. Encounters usually happen in remote areas were Jin prefer to live.

One more detail, Jin are made of fire, while Angels are made of light. Both beings can shape-shift. Jin usually shape-shift to distorted animal/human figures. Angels usually shape-shift to perfect humans, e.g. Angel Gabriel.

One last detail, the anti-Christ is Iblis shape-shifting to a human. He will have only one functioning eye. He will try to avoid this clear mark by closing his eyes and getting aid to move around.
