peaceful, not really disruptive protests don't really do much, sadly.
The suffragettes got violent. The civil rights movement was very disruptive to segregationists and also violent at times. When no trouble is caused, where's the incentive to change anything?
We can at the very least block traffic, commerce, and upset people, without hurting anyone.
