I agree in general.
One of the problems with being trained in beer tasting is that there's now some flavours I can't stand. Excessive DMS is one (tastes like drinking sweetcorn juice) and Butyric acid (tastes and smells like baby sick) is another. I'd rather stick to water. Fair enough if other people don't pick it up and like drinking it though.
It did get me thinking - would you go round for a mate's film night if all the food on offer was just tripe and onions?
