The one above was born poor, stood up to the dominant religion, stood up to the ruling empire, and died for his beliefs—and poor.

The one below—I don’t know if he was born poor—is the president of the Vatican State; he owns a bank used to launder money and finance state-sponsored terrorism; he won’t die for anyone, and he’ll die rich.

If you consider yourself a Christian and believe in that institution or any other, you need to take a closer look.

You don’t even need to read the apocryphal gospels—I’ve done so, and it doesn’t change much. Just read the New Testament and ask yourself where it places the church, the states, and the laws created by the state. Don’t come at me with a specific verse; you have to read it all to understand it.
