Damien Guard (npub133w…jngx) i've been trying to track down a DEC VT-320 truetype font based on the original ROM, but i haven't had any luck.
i've found three (poor) candidates - DEC Modern is suitable for reading on new terminals, but it takes a lot of artistic license with the forms.
DEC glassTTY is based on the original ROM data, but turns it to mush with scanlines baked into the font.
VT323 is the worst of the lot - they baked the CRT shape into the font itself, so the forms lose their squareness.
have you ever come across either a real DEC VT-320 ttf/otf (aspect-ratio corrected) or even the DEC rom that it could be built from? i'm happy to do the heavy lifting with building it, but i can't figure out where the rom data comes from
