It's not the FBI's job to police petty crime within cities. Those cities are supposed to have local police to do that. In places where they don't, the first criminals that need to be locked up are in City Hall.
Do you propose that the FBI should start arresting the mayors and city councils of cities who won't police their streets? If so, you've got my vote. But even the most ardent Trump-worshippers should cringe at the idea of a national centralized police force HQ'd in Washington DC and responsible for all policing across the country.
