If I may step in, I also think CLASSIC liberal values (laissez faire economics, civil liberties, individual autonomy, limited government, and, particularly, free speech) are certainly worth fighting for. It's just that none of today's "liberals" are really liberal. They've perverted the entire concept of liberalism so much that it's unrecognizable.
