Watched GATSBY last night (2013,DiCaprio): so disappointing.
I was looking for a LOT more *scathing critique* of the "careless people" not soft-focus NYT-level adoration of the rich.
It was weirdly affirming of the rot *deep* in our media, even in 2013, to have *that* version made scant years from the rise of Trump.
Time to watch GRAPES OF WRATH.
