Security firm Coinspect reports a critical vulnerability in the Ill Bloom wallet, stemming from weak randomness in key generation. This has impacted users on multiple blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum L2s, Tron, Solana) since 2018.
Over $5 million in assets have been transferred due to compromised keys, with initial thefts totaling ~$3M on May 27th, followed by another ~$2M. Thousands of accounts remain at risk.
