Thats a right pain. There is some hope that certain microbes can help and mitigate some of the issues.
As you used to have a coffee shop make the grounds go all green and moldy to get trichoderma. Then add that to the soil and hopefully that will help. Its worth doing if you aren't already as its great biocontrol, just keep it away from any areas you might be growing mushrooms in.
