Depends how you define gifted? You can be a talented musician, or painter, from innate skills. You can have a level of intelligence, regardless of how it is then nurtured. I don’t agree that kids pushed by their parents to become maths whizzes at a young age are gifted, just pushed. I was classed as “gifted” as a young child, but realistically just intelligent with good reading skills, and ultimately maths etc. Not related to schooling, as it was before I got to primary.
