I can see how doing anything with housing stock is tricky.
Everyone who has followed advice and stretched themselves to invest in their mortgage with the assumption that equity with grow will be upset with slower/no growth - which surely has to happen, as housing supply increases and brings about less scarcity-pricing.
The house prices need to stabilise or come down, but so many people have all their capital tied up in their home and rely on its value increasing.
