⚡️👀 WATCH - 2023 VIDEO SHOWS HOW COLDCARD'S DICE ROLL FEATURE ALLOWED FOR WEAK ENTROPY
Back in 2023, hardware wallet educator YTCryptoGuide warned that COLDCARD Mk4 allowed users to create a wallet with as little as one dice roll, making it easy for people to mistakenly generate extremely weak seeds.
He also warned the interface could lead users to believe their dice rolls were being mixed with the device’s hardware RNG when, in some workflows, they were not.
Ironically, many advanced users chose dice rolls because they didn’t fully trust the hardware RNG.
This video now carries new significance following the discovery of COLDCARD’s RNG vulnerability.
