Yes. All over the world from the Americas to the old world to Africa to Asia, the emergence of what we would call agriculture, proper roughly evolves in parallel. Agriculture as we think of it emerged over 3,000 years.
But I think it’s important to remember that humankind as a keystone species used fire and other strategies to improve the fertility of the land.
