ok i've tried to read the new paper but it's still a bit beyond me at this point. it's been a long time since i was in academia and i'm trying to get back into physics (i'm probably one of those cranks lol).
anyway i have seen octonions cropping up quite a lot lately. tbh they give me the heebie jeebies. (also every time i saw ℂ ⊗ 𝕆 i couldn't but read it as "Cheese and Onion".)
