Do you have the data sources for the underlaying numbers? Because the 60%-ish drop in salaries around 1950 seems quite odd.
It makes me wonder if the graph switch from one source of salary data to another, incompatible source. Like from salary in a particular city to national salary numbers. Or from per household income to per capita income.
