Then propose some compromise. For art and authorship, 30 years is not long enough, which is why Ezra Klein floated it to ratfuck the idea. 50 years is probably a little too long according to me, but 90 years plus congressional extension is ridiculous.

Can we say 50 years? If your book hasn’t had traction in that time it’s not going to get any more unless it’s at the ebook library in perpetuity.
