My professors were kind of all over the place about AI when I was in grad school. AI was being forced upon them and most seemed to tolerate it because they had to. One of my professors, however, was all about AI (it was a tech-related class). Anyway, as part of the class, we experimented with ChatGPT and other LLMs for research. It was shocking how incredibly wrong ChatGPT was. It made up stuff.
