Yeah, fair points. Grouping kids by date of manufacture is like putting cars on a racetrack based on date of manufacture. If you put a Lambo on the same track as a Geo Metro, their respective top speeds will be incompatible and create issues.
No man is an island in the specialization economy so we must be capable of socializing with one another in order to engage in trade to satisfy the demands of our biological vulnerabilities.
I’m reminded of Jiddu Krishnamurthy’s quote: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” Having said that, it is useful, at the very least, to experience other people in society in order to gain a sense of just how profoundly sick society is.
