I have said goodbye to Windows and installed Casuarina Linux on the CHUWI laptop. Everything is working (inc webcam and mic), except the speakers. I'll need to dig into that some more. The fan (which doesn't sound great to be honest) seems to be much less prone to turning on compared to Windows too.

I also poked around the UEFI and it seems to support S3 sleep, which is good.
