Speakers! Gonna talk about talk titles. There's an important rule that tech conference proposers seem to be forgetting these days:

Shorter is better.

Particularly, there's a real addiction to these two part-titles that go something like:

Clever Phrase: Descriptive Phrase

Sometimes it's an mdash, sometimes the descriptive phrase comes first, but it doesn't matter. I'm going to call these CP:DP titles from now on.
