It’s missing the context of American Evangelical Christianity/White Supremacy (where Kirk was coming from), which believes very strongly that women are lesser beings and meant for birthing. There’s absolutely hatred of women in that part of American society. It’s not merely that he thought it was better for women and held conservative family values. It’s that he thought women’s place was below men’s boots and bodies. It’s why I can’t see a functional difference between those things.

It’s also giving too much credit to Charlie Kirk as a ‘thinker’. He wasn’t much of a thinker in actuality. And the Manosphere that he was a part of is absolutely focused on bringing American women down. Making them return to being stay at home mothers and out of the places of power. Charlie Kirk frequently platformed other men who thought that American women shouldn’t have the vote. He was absolutely a misogynist.

And I’ll just add, Charlie Kirk is from the same area that I am. Im very familiar with these attitudes among our local conservatives. I had to deal with teenage boys just like him in school in 2000.
