I listened to the whole talk, but what stayed with me most was the conversation we had afterward, just the two of us.
I told him about NTT. About the earthquake. About standing there just days before it hit.
About wanting to help but not knowing yet what that actually looks like.
He explained it clearly. How donations moved faster than anything routed through traditional channels.
How transparency mattered just as much as speed, people could see exactly where funds went.
How the hardest part was never the technology.
It was building enough trust, beforehand, that people believed in the process.
I left that conversation with a much clearer picture, honestly.
Though now I'm thinking through the practical side.
Who actually holds the wallet. Who posts the updates.
How to keep it transparent without losing the privacy I've kept here for over a year.
I have someone in mind already, someone I trust in NTT who's been distributing aid there for a while.
He doesn't know much about Bitcoin yet.
Maybe that's the next thing I teach, slowly, one step at a time.
