I've been considering doing this very thing. Instagram also, my only Meta account 🤢
The ActivityPub talks and chat at OggCamp (npub1kp3…pqjs) have motivated to properly embrace the Fediverse.
A dedicated server has been acquired and initial research on what stack I'll use to self host my own platform from ActivityPub blog comments to, photo rolls, live streams and video hosting 👍
Hopefully this will make for a talk at #oggcamp next year 🙂
