Absolutely agree. I use notepad as a saveless brain dump for copy pasting stuff. It's impermanence was a feature. It should be braindead stupid and lacking functionality. I don't want it to save contents unless I explicitly ask it to. I increasingly look at it and go "I really should find a replacement for this."
