You no longer need to wait for Google to review the latest build to start using it. Every new official release will be available at the time it is submitted.

Sidecar version 1.3.0 can be downloaded here. To install, enable developer mode in your Chrome extensions settings, choose “Load unpacked,” and open the contents of the uncompresses zip folder. There is no build step.
