It's really annoying that Whitney Webb always defaults to localism as the solution.

I'd argue that we need to think bigger. Operating locally won't be enough to break free from Riba-funded surveillance supply chains and permissioned payment rails.

The real move here is to pair locality with a distributed+borderless layer of regional and even global coordination that can route around capture.

Cyberspace can host that! But only if we approach it as frontier that demands opsec and using uncensorable tools and protocols that preserve both privacy and sovereignty

So the goal is not to “go local”. The goal is to rebuild economic agency across scales, from neighborhood to network, outside legacy financial and social control.

Local is where you anchor. Network is where you win.
