there is no realistic and humane way to prevent people with genetic disorders risk passing those on to their kids, i should know i have a fairly minor one, on the other hand its extremely easy to minimise the risk, for instance encouraging them to have kids with one of the tens of millions of people in this country they're not directly related to rather than the dozen or so they are, in the same way that they can be encouraged not to drink a glass of wine and smoke a pack a day of cigarettes.
