At least the shock got me to stop crying.
I need to back stuff up more often. I feel like an utter dumbass. This is the THIRD major data loss I've had this year. Hundreds of hours of work, just gone. My main graphics machine down, primary system drive ate itself. Then I screwed up one of my cloud backups. Now the little chromebook down so I have only my phone (the back plate of which came loose a few months ago, battery isn't swollen at least but definitely not working right) and no money to fix or replace any of it. And no tech buddies around like I used to know in SF.
Oof, my depression... Ow. Ow.
