yes, just to explain who found it was scalable to that size, that was the cosmos/tendermint people, with their "game of- i forget" some gay name anyway. they tried to push it as far as 300 but it became too slow above 100.
all shitcoins are now built on this. except monero, which is like dark-bitcoin cult. useless because they can't practically have a fast lightning network and bitcoin lightning is so far ahead that it's already processing more payments than all the interbank and credit card networks, and its volume is above bitcoin's trading volume.
the shitcoin way leads to nowhere because they can't comprehend that anyone would run the nodes. i will soon be demonstrating that although we need full replicas on bitcoin, anyone can run a pruned node on their phone. anyone can run it on a $5/month vps, and use that as a sole source of consensus state and only collect blocks.
