Exactly. This should have been a FAIL LOUD situation, not a graceful 'degradation' to pseudo randomness.
And I can't fathom why they didn't throw a ton of AI at their code to look for security bugs. It's code out in the open, and it's their entire business at stake, let alone the funds of their customers as well.
