I’m home again and feeling tired but incredibly thankful that we were able to go on this trip, which almost got cancelled because of a false alarm about a stomach bug from my son’s preschool on Wednesday. 😅
After the tough year we've had, the chance to go away for the weekend and spend time with extended family in beautiful surroundings was a balm for the soul.
At the same time, on Friday, we got the good news that my husband will get the training placement he needs for his vocational course. It’s even better than we hoped, as it comes with an offer of further training and a job if everything goes well. 🥳
Don’t want to get too excited before contracts are officially signed, but it feels like a ton of weight is already coming off my shoulders and I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Maybe things are actually looking up now 🙏
