We pulled out a pittosporum hedge a few years back when it became infested with aphids. (We waited for ladybugs, rather than spray, but too much damage was done in the meantime. I don’t like pittosporum much anyway.) The difference with no hedge was awful, so much heat & light reflected back off the fence. The ti-tree attracts birds & bees when in flower.

Hopefully we haven’t left the trim too late for spring growth & summer flowers.
