"Left/Right" framing is a bit simplistic, but let's say you live in a state where one group of people wants to kill public services & infrastructure & allow corporations to abuse us all & one group of people would like some public services & some protection from the abusive behavior of corporations.
Why would you assume that the existence of Group A means that Group B doesn't want very many public services nor very strict controls on corporations? How does that follow?
