AI and games kind of disconnect people from meaningful thought.
To build stuff, and to organize society, requires we all have some collective set of skills. If the computer is thinking for you, then you aren't exercising your brain, you aren't developing your skills, the skills you need to function in a cohesive society. Doing work of any kind sharpens your mind and makes you an able and helpful member of your community.
AI is like the "antidote" to mass literacy. We spent over a century developing public schools and libraries to teach everyone to read and write, and now we have billionaires trying to erase all of that, making consumers completely dependent on AI to even think.
