I can acknowledge the failures of modern businesses to adapt & also say that :

They are not mutually exclusive
All of my old jobs are getting increasingly infiltrated by defective tech .
Not even the cool off-line scanner kind .
I would rather use my phone ( or a stylus keyboard device ) than rub my thumbs over a company's cracked bloody screen to re-type scan codes in to a bloated spread-sheet software .
