So having marched through London, and mobilising the right wing press, the farming community has forced the Govt. to increase the threshold on inheritance tax for agricultural land from £1m to £2.5m (which effectively for married couples or civil partners rises it to £5m) before the reduced 20% tax is due.
The rich landowners (hello Mr Clarkson) will be happy to have had their work done for them by the NFU & the small farmers who would never have been subject to it anyway!
