Sorted out plants for the super narrow 30cm x 6m border out front, opted for some Firefly heather (evergreen and flowers from summer to autumn for pollinators) Kramer's Rote heather (evergreen and flowers from winter to spring for pollinators), Thumberlina lavender (for pollinators, dwarf lavender, previously planted Hidcote lavender but it's too big), Arbuscula daphne (evergreen dwarf daphne for Spring scent), Ostfriesland salvia (for pollinators) and Powis Castle artemisia (amazing grey foliage).

Once their roots are developed they will all handle the odd dry periods provided that the soil prior has been enriched with well rotted manure and then mulched with composted bark after planting.

Once they are established any gaps will be filled with perennials.
