It's interesting—isn't it?—that Nolan is known for visuals, but he's also known for using very clunky exposition to explain necessary information to the audience.

What's going on there?

I get that a visual filmmaker might struggle to write good dialogue (& vice versa), but does Nolan use visuals to carry his stories?
