to run a storage server, the one that was easiest for me was the npub1x6au4qgw9t403yushl34tgngmgcaqv9yna7ywf8e6x4xf686ln7qc7y6wq file drop project
https://github.com/besoeasy/file-drop
just install docker just follow the instructions given by the user in the repository
if you have android, download citrine on F-droid or zapstore, which is a cell phone relay, also install termux, which is necessary to expose the relay and it can connect to your 'nostr' account once you set both, open citrine and it will run in the background, open termux, the most difficult way to expose it is to use cloudflared at the moment, install it using the command:
pkg install cloudflared
then copy the link that Citrine gives you, just change the start of ws to htttp, since only then will CloudFlare allow you to create a tunnel and the link that is enclosed between:
-----------------------
''https://......trycloudflare.com'';
-----------------------
go to any 'nostr' client and copy it where it says connect relay, but change the https part to wss so that it connects and now you have absolute control of your account.
I have been using them for a while and since then, I feel that I have more freedom and control of my account because everything I expose is more under my control and no client or relay can censor me or delete content because they no longer have control of my things.
