On the one hand, Lola is the sweetest cat in the world and I love her.
On the other hand, I increasingly wonder if it’s safe for me to live with her. I am handling so much cat shit, often soft-diarrhetic cat shit, because she poops 3x a day and at least once or twice a day on the floor. I have to handle all that poop while I’m especially vulnerable to infections (due to requiring an immunosuppressant drug for Crohn's disease, and now Bronchiectasis, neither condition did I have when we adopted her lo those many years ago), all kinds of infections that most people don’t have to worry about, infections of everyday bacteria. I have to clean the mat she poops on every day, there’s inevitably some backsplash even when I use the garden hose in the driveway. I’m worried for myself but don’t know what else to do.
