I really really like my Browne & Sharpe and really really hate that everything has a battery now. My only micrometer is electronic and uses a funky watch battery and doesn't have a power button. It self-shuts off after some time. It's only a small black LCD display but still, I hate that I have to change batteries even if it's only occasionally. The B&S sits nexts to the lathe in a toolbox, and works every single time I need it, for the last, what, 35 years? and its older than I am.
