Attempting to use IP law and shrink wrap contracts as a way of combating multi billion dollar companies is not going to be effective unless you have a comparable legal war chest. Even less so at an international level.
I understand the desire not to have corporations profit off your work without you getting a cut, but one look at the Linux foundation tells you that if that is the stated goal of the GPL, it failed.
