My regular reminder on how I define fascism: a right-wing movement that 1) tends to be hostile toward subaltern ethnic or cultural groups while advocating homogeneous ethnic or cultural rehabilitation (frequently cast as utopian, generally supremacist); 2) tends to oppose Marxism, l anarchism, and worker-led democracy and revolution in favor of state capitalism via centralized dictatorship that appeals to strong police powers; 3) tends to favor militarized command structure predominated by petty bourgeois, white-collar labor that reorganizes direct action and occludes class-based activism.
